L’Ecole N°41 is one of the most iconic Walla Walla wineries. It’s one of Washington State’s oldest family-owned wineries.

I could say tons about its wines quality, complexity, elegance and unmistakeable terroir..

But I’ll only say, it’s delicious!

It’s one of those wines you always want more of it.

It’s one of those wines that surprises any #winelover 🍷 wow factor it is!

Pepper Bridge Vineyard Apogee, shows the best of blended Cabernet Sauvignon on its Bordeaux style.

2015 Apogee is delicious now and will be delicious in 5 or 10 more years. Luckily, I have one more bottle to wait and see how it’ll show off all this vineyard’s distinctive and characteristic spicy bold aromas and complex layered flavors.

I took this bottle with me to Boston and shared with @1winelover and @allegrowineadvisors , two highly experienced #winelovers ..And we all loved!

Decanted for 1+ hour, 2015 Apogee Pepper Bridge Vineyard opened up beautifully, showing dark fruits (delicious black cherries) and complex sophisticated layers.

L’Ecole N°41 Apogee 2015, Pepper Bridge Vineyard blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc.

I bought this bottle when I visited L’Ecole Vineyards in 2018. We had a wine country dinner was part of the Wine Blogger Conference, WBC Walla-Walla in October 5th, 2018.

It worth the stop to visit and taste their wines.

The L’Ecole taste room is located in a historic Schoolhouse in Frenchtown, a small community just west of Walla Walla, WA. Also downtown Walla Walla, in the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel, at L’Ecole Heritage Wine Bar you can enjoy tasting flights and glass pours.

Here are some of L’Ecole most iconic wines, in my opinion:

  • Ferguson · Estate Ferguson Vineyard · Walla Walla Valley
  • Perigee · Estate Seven Hills Vineyard · Walla Walla Valley (👈 one of my favorites)
  • Apogee · Pepper Bridge Vineyard · Walla Walla Valley (👈 one of my favorites)
  • L’Erudite Estate · Walla Walla Valley
  • Cabernet Franc · Estate Seven Hills Vineyard · Walla Walla Valley (👈 one of my favorites)
  • Candy Mountain Vineyard Red Wine · Columbia Valley
