The Oscars is the celebration of Hollywood excess, as the parties extravaganza all over the places can show.
The luxury lifestyle gift lounge and special events company honored the 2011 Academy Award nominees and presenters withits annual gift lounge at the W Hollywood hotel in, obviously, Hollywood. There was some pretty impressive swag there.
Moët & Chandon’s Message On A Bottle gift set with two flutes, a rosé Impérial bottle with special-edition rose pink sleeve and a gold marker to personalise it with a message – all beautifully displayed in an elegant, rose-tinted gift box.
And , still about wines..
Bota-box, a wine-in-a-box!! .. It sounds off putting until you get to hear the details. Now, as for the wine itself: Wine Spectator gave the Shiraz, Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon its highest rating. There is the equivalent of 4 bottles of wine in these boxes, all California wine, and they all go for around $20.
And, what about the Annual Academy Awards ceremony..??
Moët & Chandon is the official wine of the Oscar since….. well… since ever known.. (so I believe..) . But .. This is the first time the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has awarded the ‘exclusive” champagne designation for the Oscars and pre-Oscar events. This means that the champagne served at the ceremony itself will be Moët & Chandon, including its flagship White Star, Grand Vintage, Nectar Imperial Rosé Impérial. These will include the main ceremony; the Red Carpet Cocktail Party, where Moët & Chandon will be available to guests as they enter the Kodak Theatre; the Governor’s Ball, the official Oscar party; the Foreign Language Film Awards Cocktail Party, and the New York Oscar Viewing Party, a gathering of New York-based Academy members held at the Carlyle Hotel.
All AMPAS members must be invited to join by the Board of Governors, on behalf of Academy Branch Executive Committees. Wolfgang Puck has been chosen for the last 17 years to prepared the The Governors Ball menu that follows the end of the 2011 Oscars.
Most of the news about The Party after show tall about the Sherry Yard’s chocolate Oscar dusted with 24-carat gold, and, the 1,000 spiny lobsters and the 40lbs (18kg) of caviar for the academy members plates.
Throughout the course of the night 1.200 bottles of Moët & Chandon Imperial champagne will serve 1.500 guests following the Academy Awards, in the annual Governors Ball dinner. And some more in the Elton John Aids Foundation party and the annual Vanity Fair bash.. and everywhere else.
And, besides all my love for the cinema, I must say ..
..the 2011 Winner of the Night is.. Moët& Chandon !!
